H. pylori Research - Help Us Eradicate a Silent Killer

Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infects more than half the world’s population and is the leading cause of stomach cancer — yet it remains underfunded and often overlooked.

Your support can accelerate critical research to detect, treat, and eliminate this cancer-causing bacteria before it takes more lives.

Join the fight. Fund the science. Save lives.

Baylink Lab – Washington State University

The Baylink Lab focuses on discovering new antibiotics to combat the growing threat of drug-resistant bacterial infections. Their research targets Gram-negative bacteria, which are particularly challenging to treat due to their protective outer membrane and resistance to many existing antibiotics.

Salama Lab – Fred Hutch Cancer Center

In the mid-1990s, a bacterium, Helicobacter pylori, was linked to stomach cancer, the fifth leading cancer killer worldwide. Our lab is interested in the mechanisms by which this bacterium can establish and maintain a chronic infection in the stomach and the molecular cross-talk between the host and the bacterium during infection that can lead to disease.

Worldwide Registry on the Management of H. Pylori Infection

The WorldWide Registry on the Management of Helicobacter pylori Infection (WorldHpReg) is a global initiative focused on collecting and analyzing data on Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) management in clinical practice. It aims to improve treatment strategies, reduce antibiotic resistance, and minimize the occurrence of related pathologies by systematically assessing the efficacy and safety of various treatment regimens.
